Letter From Our President Brenda Ciminski

White Mountain Association of Realtors:

Spring is upon us and so is our busy season.  From what I can tell, it looks like we have had a great start to 2016 across the mountain.  I hope everyone is as busy and productive as they want this upcoming spring and summer.

I have a couple updates on what is happening at the association.

The RAPAC committee put on a fantastic Major Investor Luncheon that was well attended by our local members and by many current and past AAR representatives.  I will leave the details to Bryan Anderson and Trisha Reid but I would like to recognize them for their efforts and great success. Good job!!

We had our first continuing education class at Northland Pioneer College in Show Low.  Those who attended seemed to enjoy the seating and classroom design. We have been working on our commitment to reaching out to the outlying areas with our continuing education opportunities.  We are working with AAR to offer some of the AAR live stream classes in Heber/Overgaard and in Springerville.  We appreciate Lawyers Title Agency and Pioneer Title Agency who are providing the rooms and equipment to make this possible.  We might be able to offer our first class prior to this newsletter, we’re that close.  Offering CE to our outlying areas has been in the works for months and we are excited for this opportunity.

Our Spring General Membership Luncheon is scheduled for May 3rd at Torreon, watch your email for details.  We have numerous items to cover at this meeting including approval of changes to our by-laws and election results for the 2017 Board of Directors and Executive Committee.  Our Education Committee will be offering a CE Class following the luncheon.

April brings our Supra e-key Lock Box Transition and renewal of our lease. As the details are released and explained, please know our Lock box Committee and Board of Directors have spent numerous hours working through the details to make this transition as smooth as possible.  Please pay close attention to all information that is sent your way in regards to this process. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.

With our market picking up and the hustle and bustle of life, I want to remind you to be careful.  Our clients and our own competitiveness can cause us to use short cuts, or to forget processes our brokers put into place to keep us safe.  Be sensitive to what your gut tells you. If things don’t feel right, there is almost always a reason.  Stay safe!

Thank you to all who serve and have served our association.
